This coming weekend, April 10th and 11th, has been declared the Nationwide Open House Weekend by the National Association of Realtors.  Spring is normally an active time for home sales.  This year is expected to be more busy than usual due to the limited time left for buyers to take advantage of the first-time homebuyers credit of up to $8,000.  (To qualify homes must be selected and under contract before April 30, 2010.)  Also, it is expected that home mortgage interest rates will be increasing, so others are scrambling to secure their mortgages before they climb much higher.
