The Federal Tax Credit for homebuyers is expiring very soon. For those who intend to take advantage of this temporary credit, they must have a home they will be purchasing under contract by this Friday, April 30. Then, they must close on the transaction by June 30, 2010.
The past couple weeks I have been taking buyers out who recognize that this credit is too good to miss out on. Though time is running out, there is still time to get a property under contract. However, the sooner the better. Sometimes when presenting an offer on a property it might take at least a couple days to hear back from a seller, particularly if they reside out of state. If the offer includes a counter offer from the seller, that will take even longer to come to resolution.
If I can help you at the last minute, I am willing to make myself available. Please call if you want assistance purchasing a property in time to qualify for the tax credit. I can also help those who are on a more leisurely purchasing timeline.
